Built for 68-72 2nd Gen GM A-Body applications including Chevelle, GTO, Tempest, LeMans, Buick Regal, Oldsmobile Cutlass, 442, and other GM A-Body platforms, this Thru Dash 8-point pre-fitted roll cage is mock-fit in-house before shipping for a tighter race-style fit and cleaner final appearance. Each kit includes marked mating surfaces, alignment indicators, and detailed reference photos specific to your cage.
Available in DOM Mild Steel or 4130 Chromoly Steel.

68-72 2nd Gen GM A-Body “Pre-Fitted” THRU DASH 8pt. Roll Cage
Designed for 68-72 2nd Gen GM A-Body applications including Chevelle, GTO, Tempest, LeMans, Buick Regal, Oldsmobile Cutlass, 442, and other GM A-Body platforms, this pre-fitted 8-point roll cage is built and mock-fit in-house before shipping. Mating bar surfaces are marked, alignment indicators are added, and detailed digital reference photos are provided to help simplify installation.
This cage is our “Thru Dash” A-Body cage design. The main hoop bars route through the dashboard area for a tighter, more professional race-style fitment. This design provides additional interior clearance and a cleaner finished appearance, making it a popular choice for more serious drag racing builds.
Installation of a Thru-Dash cage requires removal and modification of the factory dashboard during installation.
This cage is test-fit in a mock-up chassis prior to shipping, with all mating surfaces clearly marked and alignment indicators added so everything lines up exactly where it should. Detailed digital reference photos of your exact cage are also included, highlighting key mounting points and measurements.
Faster install, less guesswork, and pro-level results without the time or cost of a chassis shop.
Sill bars are not required by NHRA due to the perimeter frame construction of GM A-Body vehicles.

NHRA Notes
This 8pt cage is NHRA legal to 8.50 quarter-mile times when properly installed.
NOTE: All 8pt cages include (not shown here) 2 short “kicker” (NHRA D) bars that attach to your frame connectors behind the front seats and require final fitting. Optional dash bars are available but are not required in most cases to meet NHRA 8.50 certification.
